Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Organises an Educational Familiarisation Tour for Indian Travel Agents
The Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, in partnership with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, recently concluded the 17th Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, an annual showcase positioning Zimbabwe as a leading travel destination.
Each year, the Ministry invites international buyers to discover the country’s rich tourism landscape. In the lead-up to this year’s prestigious event, a handpicked group of Indian travel agents embarked on an educational tour of Zimbabwe from September 7 to 16, 2024, offering them a first-hand experience of the country’s attractions.
Specially crafted pre-tour itineraries highlighted Zimbabwe’s diverse tourism assets, with routes through the Eastern Highlands, Lake Kariba and Great Zimbabwe. These allowed participants to witness the nation’s remarkable scenery, abundant wildlife and luxury offerings. The agents enjoyed a range of unforgettable experiences, fostering a deeper connection with Zimbabwe’s distinctive charm.

To build on this progress, Zimbabwe has launched a strategic initiative aimed at making India one of its top five source markets within three years, underscoring its commitment to attracting Indian visitors and promoting its unique travel experiences.
