Sanket Shah Re-Elected as President of GTAA With Entire Panel of 11 Members
In a remarkable victory, once again, Sanket Shah of Compass Tourism has been re-elected President of the Global Travel Agent Association (GTAA) with an outstanding tally of votes secured. Of the 90 votes polled, he got 80, a landslide victory with overwhelming support. This election result speaks for the undying faith of his members in him and his vision.
Results underscore a strong mandate for continuity and reflection of members’ faith in the direction and execution of the current team. On his re-election, Shah conveyed his profound feeling of indebtedness to all the members. He stressed that to achieve the organisational goals and objectives, the members must keep working together in collaboration and assure all members of quality leadership anchored on integrity and dedication.
“We are humbled by the overwhelming support and trust placed in us. This victory is not just mine but belongs to the entire team who have worked tirelessly for our community. We look forward to continuing our work and making impactful strides together,” said Shah.
Looking ahead, the next three-year agendas include a series of educative seminars on GST, legal advice, destinations, airlines, and DMCs, together with the prestige ‘Play for Unity’ events. Also on the anvil is the country’s largest Travel Trade Road Show in Ahmedabad and a Road Show Series visiting 20 cities across India. Exhibitions for B2B and B2C players will be organised under the GTAA banner in Gujarat, with Familiarisation Tours (FAMs) to make the tours instructive and exciting. Other initiatives include a focused GST drive, cultural programs which will help propagate the rich cultural ethos, a digital directory of GTAA members, and increasing the GTAA chapters.
