Maldives to Woo the Indian Market With ‘Welcome India’ Roadshow
MMPRC/Visit Maldives gets ready for the much-awaited roadshows in India, in association with MATATO and NHGAM. The roadshows will occur across three main cities in India under the 'Welcome India' banner, further strengthening the position of Maldives as the number one holiday destination for Indian tourists.
It will kick off on 30 July 2024 in New Delhi, then the turn to Mumbai on 1 August 2024, and finally, on 3 August 2024, it will wind up in Bengaluru. To consider forming new relationships, strengthening existing ones, and demonstrating, this will bring together leading industry personalities from both countries onto one platform, highlighting the unique beauty and rich variety that the Maldives holds. An honourable delegation headed by the Minister of Tourism, Ibrahim Faisal, accompanied by Mohamed Khaleel, the President’s Adviser on Tourism Development, will represent the Maldives.
The ‘Welcome India’ roadshow will showcase the Maldives’ wonderful beaches, luxuriously beautiful resorts, beguiling guesthouses, and rich cultural heritage. It will offer warm hospitality to visitors, coupled with opportunities lying ahead regarding business ventures. To make this even more fascinating, each roadshow will feature a raffle giveaway with holiday packages sponsored by Kandima Maldives, Nova Maldives, Arena Hotels, Kaani Hotels, Villa Nautica, Sirru Fen Fushi, Holiday Inn Kandooma, and Alila Kothaifaru Maldives.
India has evolved into an important source market for the Maldives, and the tourist inflow has been growing progressively. Now, the roadshow will cash in on this steady growth of interest in the destination and seal the Maldives’ position as the favourite destination amongst Indian travellers.
