Joseph Alexander El-Masri Takes the Reins at Jumeirah Olhahali Island
Jumeirah Olhahali Island in the Maldives has appointed a new Director of Sales and Marketing: Joseph Alexander El-Masri.
He is a British citizen, having extensive luxury hospitality experience and has been a driving force at Jumeirah since 2019, holding a number of leadership positions. He has been awarded “Rising Star” by the brand in 2021 and 2022. Previously, he demonstrated his prowess as Associate Director of Sales at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, as Director of Sales at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, and lately as Complex Director of Sales for Madinat Jumeirah. Currently based in Dubai, his responsibilities include managing international leisure markets for four premium 5-star hotels while driving room revenue growth and leading success for his team.

He brings with him over 12 years of hospitality experience from some of the most iconic brands, such as JA Resorts and Hotels, and Atlantis The Palm by Kerzner. He will head up a dynamic sales and marketing team based in this new role to promote the contemporary 67-villa resort at Jumeirah Olhahali Island. This private island resort is world-renowned for its sprawling beaches and overwater villas that sport expansive rooftop terraces with private infinity pools, an overwater spa, waterfront dining options, and a daily activities program featuring more than 50 activities per week, from PADI scuba diving courses to coral restoration workshops and culinary masterclasses.
