Introducing The New Ministers In The New Modi 3.0 Government

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured 293 out of 543 Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 elections, with no single party achieving an outright majority.

In the Modi 3.0 government, Rao Inderjit Singh has been appointed Minister of State in the Culture Ministry, while Suresh Gopi will serve as Minister of State in the Tourism Ministry.

Shekhawat, born in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, in 1967, has been a prominent political figure, having been elected to the 16th, 17th, and now 18th Lok Sabha from Jodhpur. He thanked Prime Minister Modi for including him in the council of ministers for the third consecutive time, vowing to work diligently and meet the country’s expectations.

Prime Minister Modi’s core team, including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar, will retain their respective portfolios of home, defence, finance, and external affairs. Shekhawat, along with these top ministers, holds a postgraduate degree, with an M.A. and M.Phil in Philosophy from JNV University, Jodhpur.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Tourism & Culture

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat is the new Union Minister for Tourism & Culture. Hailing from Rajasthan, Shekhawat was earlier serving as Union Cabinet Minister in Ministry of Jal Shakti. He is a member of parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party representing Jodhpur in the Lok Sabha. Shekhawat, who was previously the Union Jal Shakti Minister, took oath alongside 30 other cabinet ministers, five ministers of state with independent charge, and 30 ministers of state.

Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, Union Civil Aviation Minister

Telugu Desam Party MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu has become the 34th Union Minister of Civil Aviation as part of the new Council of Ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led cabinets, replacing Jyotiraditya Scindia. Naidu took oath as part of the new Council of Ministers on June 9. He contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election from the Srikakulam constituency, a seat he has now won three times in a row.

Ashwini Vaishnaw retained as Union Minister of Railways

 Ashwini Vaishnaw has retained the Railways Ministry and IT Ministry besides getting one heavyweight portfolio – Information and Broadcasting. Vaishnaw held the Railway Ministry since July 2021. He had replaced Piyush Goyal, who led the ministry from September 2017 to July 2021.
