IndiGo Launches Trichy to Abu Dhabi Flights
IndiGo has announced a new route between Trichy and Abu Dhabi, and the inaugural flight took off yesterday.
This new route is going to have a frequency of four times a week—Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The outbound flight, 6E 1493, leaves at 7:30 AM from Trichy and lands at 10:00 AM in Abu Dhabi. The return journey, 6E 1494, leaves Abu Dhabi at 12:55 AM and touches base in Trichy at 6:30 AM.
The new service will take the number of weekly flights between Trichy and Abu Dhabi to seven, amid high demand from NRIs working in the UAE. This is expected to further boost international passenger traffic at Trichy Airport, already handling 13 lakh passengers every year.
