Centara Hotels and Resorts Leads Brand Finance’s “Thailand 50” for 2024

Centara Hotels and Resorts has been awarded the strongest brand in Brand Finance's prestigious "Thailand 50" report for 2024. This is the second year in a row that Centara has taken top place—the award regarded as a reinforcement of its reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction and service excellence. Previously, the Centara flagship five-star brand, Centara Grand, was hailed as Thailand's best brand, further cementing this group's phenomenal success.

The Brand Finance Thailand 50 2022 report reflects brands by brand equity, trust, and financial performance. Such recognition for Centara as a corporate brand, above and beyond its most popular Centara upscale hotel concept, seals its progress toward a top 100 global hotel operator by 2027.

Within the last one year, Centara Hotels and Resorts has marked some milestones with the launching of various key projects. Their remarkable 33-storey city landmark, Centara Grand Hotel Osaka, is a statement of its expansion into key global cities. In Thailand, the opening of Centara Ayutthaya further reiterated its commitment to world-class hospitality right across the country. Furthermore, the opening of COSI Vientiane Nam Phu in Laos marked the CNS Brand launching onto the international stage as an innovative yet affordable brand.

Centara will continue to strengthen its position both domestically and internationally with significant openings and renovations slated for 2024 and beyond. In Thailand, August will witness the opening of Centara Life Lamai Resort Samui while comprehensive renovations will be done at Centara Karon Resort Phuket and Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya to elevate their offerings. This project, The Atollia by Centara Hotels and Resorts, will be one of the larger multi-island destinations in the Indian Ocean to raise its sails in November 2019 with the opening of Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives. An underwater-themed resort would come next in 2025 with the opening of its upscale sibling, Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives, offering family-friendly features.

The vision moving forward for Centara is the growth of all six brands in key markets: Thailand, the greater ASEAN region, the Middle East Indian Ocean, Japan, and China, while still retaining inimitable Thai hospitality.
Thirayuth Chirathivat, CEO of Centara Hotels and Resorts, said, “We are very proud to be named as Thailand’s strongest brand.” The award being received, he further stressed that this is a testament to Centara’s continuous belief in sustainable growth and creating extraordinary experiences for guests from across the world. It’s an overall performance measure this year, he added, from the company’s holding strong to its strategy and continued pursuit in showcasing Thai hospitality at its finest.
