India Leads Asia’s Love for Pools: Agoda’s Pool Paradise Index
A recent study done by Agoda puts India on the top position as Asia’s “Pool Paradise” rankings. Indian travellers most frequently search for accommodations with pools, as with Asia’s increasing temperatures, the desire for a refreshing swim is clearly visible.
This study looked into people’s travel habits across ten Asian markets which revealed that Indian tourists seek properties that are equipped with pools. South Koreans follow closely, with completing the top five. South Korea follows closely and secured the second position while Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines completed the top five positions. However, the craze of pool is less significant in Japan and Taiwan. At the same time, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Singapore show the least interest in pool facilities when people book stays there.

The study also revealed that Asian travellers have very diverse priorities. Pools are among five top search filters on Agoda, alongside complimentary breakfast, user reviews, star ratings, and flexible cancellation policies.
