The summit, themed “Ancient Land: New Perspectives,” will place Australia’s rich cultural heritage and natural wonders centre stage and put a focus on innovation and sustainable growth. In Perth, pioneering industry leaders and international government officials have convened to drive the effort toward making travel and tourism much safer, more resilient, more inclusive, and more sustainable.
Among the many influential business leaders who will be talking are Greg O’Hara, Founder & Senior Managing Director of Certares and WTRC Chair; Matt Goldberg, CEO of TripAdvisor; Audrey Hendley, President of American Express Travel; Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO of Diriyah Company; Hiroyuki Takahashi, Chair of the Board at JTB Corp; and James Thornton, CEO of Intrepid Travel. Adding to the event’s appeal, world-famous wildlife conservationist and TV presenter Robert Irwin will take the stage.
According to Julia Simpson, President & CEO of WTSC, influential leaders in travel and tourism whose insight and leadership are crucial for mapping the future course of this industry would come together at Perth. It is an area of pristine natural beauty in Western Australia, dedicated to sustainability and cultural diversity, which makes it the ideal backdrop against which to begin various new breakthrough ideas in tourism while keeping integrity in rich traditions and ancient heritage.
This can be a wonderful opportunity to bring together government representatives and industry leaders worldwide who will share their varied experiences in discussing best practices and further exploring new strategies that could provide the drive for resilience and growth in the travel and tourism industry.
