Dubai Parks Welcome Record Crowds: 16 Million Visitors in Early 2024
The public and residential parks of the Dubai Municipality received 16 million visitors during the first half of 2024, against 1.3 million for the corresponding period of the previous year- an increase of 1.3 million.
During this period, visits to the main public and other residential parks, playgrounds, and recreational centres of the Municipality reached 16,400,000. Residential parks accounted for 10.6 million, while the main five parks drew a crowd of 3.15 million.
More than 1 million tourists visited Al-Mamzar Park; more than 870,000 people visited Mushrif Park, Creek Park — 583,508; Za’abeel Park — 545,335. It was followed by the Quranic Park, which received more than 1.03 million visitors, whereas Dubai Frame was visited by 827,000 people.
These statistics stand mid-year to prove the attractiveness and importance of parks and recreational facilities in Dubai as world-class leisure and tourist spots, according to Dawoud Al Hajri, the Director-General of Dubai Municipality. He added that the Municipality is committed to rendering high-quality services and ultra-modern facilities while considering the function of managing and developing parks as part of its core business.
“The Municipality is keen on providing outstanding services and experiences to support the quality of life and happiness of visitors by providing integrated facilities, managing all related works and activities and arranging recreational events throughout the year. All this will add to our commitment towards enhancing the quality of life in Dubai and its attractiveness and promoting its tourist goals and consolidating its position as one of the world’s most famous destinations,” Al Hajri said.
