Brazil Sets Ambitious Goal to Welcome 10 Million Tourists by 2027 Amidst Record Growth
Brazil wants to cash in on the tourism growth, pulling toward hosting up to 10 million visitors annually by 2027.
This initiative comes in response to a surge in foreign tourist spending, which reached record levels in the first half of the year.
Sao Paulo, the largest city in Brazil, is still very popular, especially with business visitors. However, most also find time to enjoy its cultural delights, such as the historic Municipal Market, where foreign visitors have been known to splurge on local products and other goods.
The Minister of Tourism of Brazil, Celso Sabino, indicated that his country is full of potential. He is optimistic that with the proper steps, it will attract many more Chinese tourists to Brazil and experience the country’s different foods and lively culture.
With such efforts, Brazil targets a manifold expansion of its tourist industry to new markets and greater cultural exchange.
