Thailand Embraces Web3: Discover a New Era of Travel with Freedom World

Freedomverse, the Web 3 innovator behind the trailblazing Freedom World app, is very satisfied to bring out a strategic alliance with the Tourism Authority of Thailand under the campaign "Discover Thailand by Amazing Thailand x Freedom World." The Freedom World mobile application will work on Web3 technology to drive community-sourced experiences that enable activities and information sharing within the Discover Thailand community.

It is positioned first to focus on Koh Samui and its sister islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, that promote travel during the Green Season of July to October 2024. This will better position Thailand as a leading destination that integrates technology and travel seamlessly with the concept of Travel Tech. Enabled by the state-of-the-art Web3 technology, the Freedom World app demonstrates how new tech can elevate the vacation experience in Thailand. The app will target domestic and foreign travellers alike. It supports Thai and English languages, push-notifications of news and promotions relevant to its travellers, activity maps, gamified activities, missions with completion rewards, community building functions like chat, invites, join with travel companions, etc. This campaign will enable contributions from local merchants or businesses looking to offer a curated experience.

Somradee Chitchong, the deputy governor for domestic marketing of TAT, said that this step by the TAT focused on enhancing the quality and sustainability to reboot tourism in Thailand in 2024. The strategic goals include:
Elevating the supply chain to emphasise quality and sustainability, enhancing tourism infrastructure to facilitate travel at every touchpoint, leveraging digital technology for sustainable growth, and effectively managing external risks. This partnership with the Freedom World application aligns with these goals, providing a digital platform that enhances travel experiences for the new generation of travellers.

Didi Wimonpun Wiboonma, the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer of Freedomverse, showed enthusiasm towards the event of the collaboration with TAT, which brings a new dimension into travel experiences by way of the Freedom World application. Remaining at the forefront in Thailand and globally for the Web3 space, Freedomverse’s mission has been to empower technology for all and make it beneficial for everybody. This partnership thus aligns appropriately with their mission and commitment towards co-creation and growing the ecosystem, where equal opportunities are given to the small business and communities.

The Discover Thailand campaign looks towards engaging more than 50 local business operators during its first phase. Other provinces will be added at a later time.
