Adding another star to its vast portfolio of heritage properties, WelcomHeritage has recently launched one more hotel under its “Nature Resort” category in the holy city of Punjab, Amritsar.

WelcomHeritageRanjitvilas has become its 33rd operational property of the 40 alliances, spanning across 15 states and the first one for the ‘Farm-Stay’ option of the group. Ranjitvilas, a property developed and approved by the Punjab Heritage & Tourism Promotion Board under Farm Tourism Scheme, is a joint venture of four family members of Late Sardar Ranjit Singh Makhni who dreamt of making his grandchildren stay together in an authentic Punjabi farm house and not forget the taste of punjabiyat and richness of Punjab heritage. Ranjit Makhni and his brothers, worked to grow the family, powered by their belief in the importance of family and care. Thus, the project inspired by his ideas and style of working, was made to make his dreams true.

Also, it is first Farm-Stay property of WelcomHeritage, thus bring the perfect amalgamation of rustic feel of India with Indian hospitality values and rich heritage of the country”.

“Amritsar as a destination is an important one as it attracts lot of tourists. The main attraction, the Golden Temple, attracts lot of visitors from India and abroad. Besides, there are other historically important sites like the Jalianwallah Bagh, Wagah Border, Gobindgarh fort etc.,” added Gupta.

“The Punjab Heritage & Tourism Promotion Board with the concept to make the guest familiar with the Punjab’s culture launched the Farm Tourism scheme. Our’s is a property which will offer unique experiences to our guests during their stay with us, by way of offering various activities like – Nature walks, Village Tour on Tractor, Turban tying, etc.,’ he further said.

WelcomHeritageRanjitVilas is different from the other branded hotels as it offers its guests a great experience, the taste of rich Punjabi heritage and culture situated away from the city’s hustle bustle yet near the city centre.

“We are confident that since the city attracts so many visitors, the concept of such a scheme with an insight to the local rural and ethnic life in a similar kind of environment will be a success,” said Gupta.

According to Gupta the company’s aim is to promote the property across all platforms and segments. The target segments will include both the Indian as well as foreign guests.

“We are focussing on the vast opportunity of domestic tourism by associating with key wholesale operators specialising in promoting local destinations by offering them incentives and lucrative commercials and also by participating in the travel marts and road shows in the Tier-II and Tier-III cities which have a vast potential too. As we specialize in providing experience and showcase heritage, inbound tourism forms the core segment. We are also in the process of promoting all our hotels in prominent geographical regions like US, UK, Scandinavian countries and the oriental through publishing our destination in allied brochures and tour itineraries marketed by tour operators in these regions through local DMCs,” he added.

With the product offering a different kind of experience that of a farm stay, backed with efficient and quality service, WelcomeHeritage is confident that the property will stand out amongst the competition.
